Day 3 Coles Bay 15 March 14

Slept in till 6.45 as not required for the Mussel man until 9 am.
Ben dropped crew over to Solquest and picked up shore crew.
Gone by 8.45,washed up breakfast things, only light one today.
Overcast morning with no wind.

What to do! Josh called said they would have lunch onboard Solquest, not needed until after lunch for transfer to shore.
Decided to go for a fish. Just got under way when Rodney turned up with a ton of crays to unload at the jetty, one ton with most of them the size in demand at the moment, price 100 dollars a kilo !
No wonder he had shouted Christine a night ashore at the resort across the bay.
Rodney away and with his pots on deck for a whole day, unheard of but so was 100 bucks a kilo.

He said go down to Refuge Island for decent flats so as the hot water and batteries needed charging up we motored off.
When we got there we saw the salmon running and caught a couple and a small couta, good bait for the pot tomorrow night.
Tried for Squid off the beach with no luck.

Steamed back up to take crew ashore to Auntie Mary for afternoon shoot of Ross making an omelette from swans eggs.
Garth and Rod borrowed the dinghy and came on board for a cup of tea when the wind came up and Solquest dragged her anchor.Ben ran them back in the dinghy and we both moved closer to the beach. The wind persisted until we went to bed.
Crew returned at dark, had dinner of Ross's game snags and Bens chocolate pudding, was ok but not really what we were expecting.
Lights out about eleven, not really an exciting day!

Rachel Christine with a load of crays some at 100 bucks a kilo!  Rodney was smiling as most of his competition were away Duck or Deer shooting.
