Day 1 Triabunna to Coles Bay 13 March 14

Well they turned up on time Tuesday night.Only brought a bit more stuff.
Another Photographer from Sydney. He uses Stills and takes food, thrilling!
He is working on Mathews new cookbook.
Staying ashore and only for a few days. Another one for Ben to run around.

Went to the Triabunna pub for dinner Tues had a really nice meal.
Up early to do the elusive Long Spined Sea Urchin.
The Dive fellow was supposed to supply the 5 sets of gear for the dive.A few bits were missing so after he went home a couple of times we eventually got away 2 hours late.
He had a dive off Loueville point with no result we went to Maria island and after a lot of mucking around got the required fish.
The dive was eventually done and a feed of sea Urchins was obtained.
We loaded them all onto Solquest for the trip to Coles Bay.
We returned to Triabunna with Michael the diver and Toby the young trainee now Bus driver and all the dive gear.
Left the Sailing Club for the last time.Headed back out past Maria where we heard there were Tuna and tried our luck for half an hour before heading up to Coles.
Ben caught a small Stripie Tuna almost straight away.Trolled for another hour towards Coles to Isle de Phoques with no luck.
Showed Ben the seals there ,I have never seen so many! Must have been at least 1500,there was some right up on the top against to skyline.
Heaps of young ones.
Can't see where they get enough food ,this bay must produce an enormous amount of shark and squid. The dogooders will want to ban fishing next to feed them.

Arrived at Coles Bay about the same time as The Mob.Garth picked up one of MAST's moorings. We anchored and afterwards I noticed on one of my plotters I was right on top of a submarine cable!
I hope we have not caught it.will find out in the morning.
Ben transferred our crew, then Alan the stills man ashore to Toby for their accommodation.
Gary and Gilly then started fiddling with the Phantom. They had new bigger props for it and were like kids busting to try it out and practice their flying .Gary flies while Gilly looks on the screen to see what is being filmed and offers directions. They are a  formidable team.I can imagine them landing on Mars!
Anyway they kept buzzing Solquest about 150 meters away when they managed to crash into the back stay holding the mast up.
As luck would have it Ross was standing there cooking their dinner on the BBQ and reached up and caught it.
Then it tried to come home as it has a homing device in it if things go wrong .Garry is shouting instructions on how to turn it off and the camera and sound are a still working recording it all.
It also has an electronic stabilizing device which is going mad along with its Red,Green and white lights flashing it was a laugh a second.
Gary and I jumped into the dinghy and tore over to rescue it.
Ross just returned to his flash sausages cooking.
Ben cooked a nice tea of Becs butcher's steak and an apple Strudel .

Scooter turned up in the Police boat for a yak and Gary repaired the drone,he wanted to try it but we talked him into waiting for the morning and using it at the vineyard.

I called Goughy but they are in Perth at a wedding, not happy 39 degrees there!Told him about Peachy and he was killing himself laughing.

Well had enough for one day so off to bed.
Cut the sponge top in half and put one on your bunk.a lot better.
Goodnight.
